HydroSense — Smart Solutions for Day to Day Life
A water-reuse concept that collects AC condensate and RO reject water for non-potable cleaning and flushing.
The problem
Water from air conditioners and reverse-osmosis filters is often discarded despite possible non-potable uses.
Objective
Reuse these water streams for suitable non-potable tasks in a household or school setting.
Project story
The system stores recovered water, monitors its level and switches to overhead supply when the collection tank is low. The team also developed a Mist Tap concept to reduce water use at the tap.
The team also qualified for the CBSE National Science Fair 2025–26.
How it works
AC condensate and RO reject water are collected in storage. A level monitor tracks the supply, and the system switches to overhead water when the recovered-water level is low.
